A 36-year-old Clearfield woman, identified as Helaina Haidet, was arrested following two separate altercations at Penn Highlands Hospital over the weekend. The first assault occurred this past Saturday evening. Clearfield Regional Police responded to reports that Haidet had repeatedly struck a nurse in the torso. Officers were called back to the hospital later that night while Haidet was still being evaluated. During this second interaction, she reportedly became irate, threatened to seize an officer’s firearm to shoot them, and eventually struck an officer. Haidet faces multiple charges, including aggravated assault, simple assault, terroristic threats, harassment, and disorderly conduct. She has been placed in the Clearfield County Prison in lieu of bail. Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for February 4th.
