Vice Principal At Chestnut Ridge Enters No-Contest Plea

vice-preincipal

Patrick Isgan, the former Chestnut Ridge Middle School assistant principal, entered a no-contest plea last week, to resolve criminal charges regarding his failure to report allegations of student-on-student sexual assault.  Isgan pled no contest to one count of recklessly endangering another person, and one count of failure to report or refer, both second-degree misdemeanors.  This plea agreement resolves a case where Isgan originally faced more than 60 criminal charges.  By entering the plea, the trial—previously scheduled for tomorrow was avoided, sparing six child victims from testifying.  The charges stemmed from an investigation beginning in early 2024 into incidents on a school bus where a 12-year-old student allegedly touched multiple younger children inappropriately.  Sentencing is scheduled for April 1st in Bedford County Court.
