We have more information regarding a shooting that occurred outside the Cairnbrook Community Club in Somerset County early Sunday morning. Authorities say 42-year-old David Leipchack, who has been confirmed to be a Sergeant at SCI Laurel Highlands, is accused of shooting at a couple while they were leaving the club in Shade Township, after an altercation occurred earlier. According to investigators, surveillance footage captured Leipchack waiting in his car for the couple to leave the club. As they attempted to drive away, state troopers report that Leipchack approached their vehicle and opened fire. Police stated he fired six rounds in total, with three bullets striking the truck. Fortunately no one was injured. Reportedly, Leipchack has been suspended from his position at the prison, and is facing attempted homicide charges. He remains in the Somerset County Prison where bail has been set at $250,000.
