Get Ready To Face Extremely Cold Temps

cold-weather-ahead-road-warning-sign

The Northeast is bracing for the coldest weekend of the winter.  The National Weather Service has issued an extreme cold watch for a portion of Central Pa., that runs from Saturday morning at 1:00 until noon Saturday.  Dangerously cold wind chills of 20-30 below zero are possible.  These extremely cold temps could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.  It will remain cold and blustery into Sunday morning, but Saturday morning will be the coldest period.  People are urged to stay indoors until conditions improve.  If you must go outside, dress in layers, and cover exposed skin.  Gloves, a scarf, and a hat will keep you from losing your body heat.  Finally, if you have outdoor pets, please bring them inside until it warms up.
