Forecasters are predicting the coldest weather yet across the eastern part of the country, including Pennsylvania. Artic air from the polar vortex will dip the Northeast and Mid-Atlanic this weekend, dropping temps into the single digits and below zero for over 100-million people. Dozens of daily record temperatures could be challenged tomorrow and Sunday. In the meantime, most of Pennsylvania, including our area, is under an Extreme Cold Watch from late tonight until Sunday morning. The National Weather Service says we could experience wind chills as low as 20-30 below, which can cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. If you must go outside you are reminded to dress in layers. If you have outdoor pets, bring them indoors.
