A 20-year-old Penn State student was hospitalized with severe injuries following a hit-and-run crash early Saturday morning, in downtown State College. According to State College Police, the incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. at the intersection of East Beaver Avenue, and South Garner Street. After striking the student, the driver fled the scene. The victim was transported to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville for treatment of serious injuries. Officers later located the vehicle and arrested a 33-year old male. Formal charges are pending.
