A Windber couple faces dozens of felony animal cruelty charges after authorities discovered several dogs and puppies abandoned in a Railroad Street home during single-digit temperatures. Arrested were 43-year-old Jessica Krise, and 51-year-old Brad Cameron, both accused of severe neglect. Reportedly, three adult dogs—a male Pitbull and two female Labradoodles—were found tied outside in frigid weather with no food, water, or shelter; all appeared emaciated with visible bones. Seven puppies were found crated inside a residence that had its water shut off and was in total disarray. Five of the puppies reportedly died from starvation after being unable to nurse. Both suspects are facing 36 counts, including felony aggravated cruelty to animals. Krise was released on bail, while Cameron has not yet been arraigned. Krise is to face a preliminary hearing on February 18th.
