The local Catholic Charities has vacated its longtime home next to the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament. The staff is currently operating out of temporary headquarters at the Salvation Army Church on the 1800 block of 6th Avenue in Altoona, while they wait to move to a permanent, undisclosed new location. Reportedly, the office will continue to provide financial assistance to individuals of all faiths during this transition, however services are being handled by phone, as staff will not always be present at the temporary site.
