The Happy Valley Adventure Bureau and the Happy Valley Sports and Entertainment Alliance have entered a three-year sponsorship deal with the Bear National Gravel Team, featuring the HVAB logo on uniforms to promote local cycling. The gravel team competes in off-road cycling races all across the U.S. The partnership aims to showcase Centre County’s gravel roads as a premier, world-class destination for off-road cycling. Eric Englebarts, who is the executive director of the Happy Valley Sports and Entertainment Alliance noted in a press release that Centre County’s gravel roads rival, and often surpass, those used in major international competitions. The alliance hopes to establish Centre County as a premier destination for gravel cycling, using its extensive network of unpaved forest and farm roads.
