Fetterman Calls For Assassination Of Iran’s New Ayatollah

Senator John Fetterman is calling on Israel to assassinate Iran’s new Ayatollah.  The Pennsylvania Democrat appeared on NewsNation on Wednesday and was asked about Mojtaba Khamenei, who has been selected to take over as Ayatollah after his father, Ali Khamenei, was killed at the start of the Iran war.  Fetterman said, “They should kill him, too,” and added that the world is “better off” with the late Ayatollah dead.  Iranian officials say the younger Khamenei was injured in the airstrikes that killed his father.  Fetterman said he hopes the younger Khamenei is “significantly wounded,” and that if he does recover, the senator says he “absolutely” supports having Israel “eliminate him.”
