JPD Investigate Overnight Shooting

Police are investigating an overnight shooting in Johnstown that left one man injured.  Officers responded to the 400 block of Cooper Avenue around midnight last night, where they found a male victim with a gunshot wound to the chest.  He was transported to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center for surgery; his injuries are currently considered non-life threatening.   Reportedly, Johnstown Police have identified a person of interest, though no arrests have been made, and no charges have been filed yet.  Cambria County District Attorney Jessica Aurandt stated the shooting appears to be an isolated incident, with no ongoing threat to the public.  Authorities are asking anyone with information, video, or photos to contact the Johnstown Police Department via the Cambria County non-emergency line.
