A loud boom heard in several states Tuesday morning is said to have been caused by a meteor. Thousands of people here in Pennsylvania, Northeast Ohio, and New York reported hearing and feeling the boom. Some reported the boom caused their houses to shake and caused items to fall from shelves. Video posted by the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh shows a burning meteor streaking across the sky.
