The American Kennel Club announced its new most popular dog breeds list yesterday, with French Bulldogs claiming the top spot for the fourth straight year. Labrador Retrievers held second place, followed by Golden Retrievers in third, and German Shepherds maintaining fourth position. Dachshunds cracked the top five, replacing poodles from last year’s rankings. French bulldogs earned their popularity through their affectionate, playful nature, and protective instincts, making them excellent watchdogs, and companions for all ages. Beagles, Rottweilers, Bulldogs, and German Shorthaired Pointers rounded out the top breeds nationwide.
