Advisor Accused Of Stealing Thousands From Clearfield HS Clubs

A Weedville, Elk County woman, and longtime school advisor, is facing charges after a months-long investigation revealed more than $12,000 missing from various Clearfield Area High School Club fundraisers and sales.  Forty-eight-year-old Denise McGranor, was charged with one count of misdemeanor criminal mischief following a report filed by school officials on September 10^th of last year.   According to the criminal complaint, an audit conducted by the district’s Director of Business Affairs, uncovered a total shortage of over 12-thousand dollars across six different fundraisers.  Reportedly, McGranor has been placed on administrative leave, and is to face a preliminary hearing on May 13^th.
