Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Secretary Cindy Adams- Dunn Visited Black Moshannon State Park in Centre County yesterday, to celebrate the impact of conservation volunteers, and unveil a new digital tool designed to modernize how Pennsylvanians give back to their public lands. During the visit, state officials officially launched a new online conservation volunteer system which is now live for those looking to support state parks and forests. The mobile-friendly platform is designed to streamline the sign-up process and connect users with specific projects across the Commonwealth. The event also served as a victory lap for the host site, as the Pennsylvania Parks and Forests Foundation announced that Black Moshannon State park has been named the 2026 State Park of the Year. The park was recognized for its extraordinary bog ecosystem, and its success in engaging the community.
