A 70-year-old Johnstown man identified as Carl Spishak died from an accidental drowning yesterday morning while fishing on a private pond in Jackson Township, Cambria County. The Cambria County Coroner’s office reported the body was discovered in the seven-foot-deep pond on Hunt Road. It is believed Spishak suffered a medical episode while fishing. The drowning has prompted a reminder from the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission regarding the importance of lifejackets for all anglers.
