A 40-year-old inmate at the State Correctional Institution at Benner Township, Centre County, died on Saturday after being found unresponsive in his cell. Keith Levan, who was serving a four-to-10-year sentence for failing to comply with sexual offender registration requirements, was pronounced dead by EMS personnel following life-saving efforts by staff. Pennsylvania State Police are currently investigating the incident, in accordance with state policy.
