An eaglet at the bald eagles nest at the U.S. Steel’s Mon Valley Works Irvin plant in Pennsylvania is recovering after having emergency surgery. Wildlife officials say that during a livestream of the nest on Saturday, the eaglet’s mother fed the two-week-old eaglet a hook, line, and lure. The eaglet was removed from the nest and has since undergone a successful surgery to remove the hook. If all goes well, the eaglet could be returned to its nest within a week or two.
