The Fort Fetter American Legion Post 516 has raised over $60,000 of its $75,000 goal to restore the Blair County Courthouse clocktower, with work set to make the bell ring by July 4, 2026. Blair County Commissioners approved a contract with Elderhorst Bells for initial repairs to the 1875 structure, aiming to finish the project in time for the nation’s 250th anniversary. The money raised by the Fort Fetter American Legion Post will not only be used for the clock’s restoration, but future maintenance.
