There’s exciting news for gas stations. A lot of Americans will be hitting the pumps this weekend. Triple-A released its Memorial Day travel report, and they’re predicting a record number of Americans will travel this year. They expect 45-million people to travel this year, up a notch from last year, at 44.8-million. The report says slightly more than 39-million will drive, almost 4-million will fly, and slightly more than 2-million will use some other form of transportation like trains and buses. The national average for a gallon of gasoline last year was $3.17 on Memorial Day weekend. Currently the national average is $4.56. Here in Blair County the average cost is $4.54.
