SUPPORTING LOCAL MUSIC FOR 25 YEARS!

Homegrown Rocker November 2025 Schedule

Here’s a listing of what will be happening on the “Homegrown Rocker” during November. Catch the program every Sunday night from 8 to 10 p.m. on Q94 Classic Rock (www.q94classicrock.com), from 10 p.m. to midnight on 107.1 and 101.3 Jack FM (www.1071jack.fm), and via podcast after the show airs on Q94’s website (in “The Professor’s Classroom”).

NOVEMBER 2 – Kevin Briggs: After being involved with several area bands and recording projects, State College-based singer and songwriter Kevin Briggs recently issued his self-titled debut album. We’ll discuss Kevin’s musical career, live show and the new album. We’ll air several songs from the album, plus Kevin will bring his guitar and play a few numbers live!

NOVEMBER 9 –Visiting the Mailboxes: Back to the mailboxes we go to explore more new local and regional recordings that have arrived at “Homegrown Rocker” headquarters in recent days and weeks!

NOVEMBER 16 – Punchline: For over 25 years, Pittsburgh’s Punchline has been creating music, playing shows and making albums. Their latest album is called “Somewhere to Land,” and we’ll discuss that new album with members Chris Fafalios and Steve Soboslai. We’ll also discuss Punchline’s first appearance in central PA in 15 years, as they headline a special night of music at Liberty Hall at the U.S. Hotel Tavern in Hollidaysburg on Saturday, November 29 – listen to find out how to win free admission to that show!

NOVEMBER 23 – All Request Night 2025: As we approach Thanksgiving 2025, we thank YOU for supporting local and regional music each week by listening to the “Homegrown Rocker!” Send us your requests for hearing your favorite local/regional band or one of their songs on this All Request special edition by emailing that request to homegrownrocker@gmail.com! We’ll then play back your requests on the November 23 edition! Deadline for all emailed requests is the end of Thursday, November 20!

NOVEMBER 30 – Local Music on Vinyl Special: To wrap up Thanksgiving weekend, we will devote a special edition of the “Homegrown Rocker” to those area bands and artists – present and past – who have issued their music on vinyl records! Every local and regional song we play on this special edition will be from a vinyl album, single or EP! (Area bands and artists who would like their vinyl recordings to be saluted and played on this program may drop off their records at the Lightner Communications offices at 2513 6th Avenue in Altoona; deadline is Wednesday, November 26.)
