The (now) Christmas classic, starring Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed debuted in theaters 75 years ago this week, (December 20th, 1946). It wasn’t as warmly received then as now, but after it was seemingly on almost every other station for years due to a dispute over copyright, millions came to love it as a part of their holiday season. NBC is now the only American officially licensed broadcaster. It was on December 4th and will be shown again on Christmas Eve – this Friday, at 8pm. Another place you can see it is at The Jimmy Stewart Museum in Indiana, PA. If you’re even a casual fan of Jimmy Stewart’s, you’ll find it’s a great place to visit, and just a short trip. It’s also a reminder Indiana has been The Christmas Tree Capital of The World. –Doug
