WTAJ reports that police arrested 37 year old Rick Spurling after he allegedly physically attacked a woman twice after she accused him of drinking. The couple got into the first altercation last Thursday afternoon when Spurling was accused of placing the victim in a choke hold and dragging her from the living room to the kitchen. The woman passed out then left the house. She returned later that night and Spurling is accused of attacking her a second time, placing her in a another choke hold. Spurling was placed in the Blair County jail, charged with felony aggravated assault, strangulation, simple assault and harassment.
