Officials say a woman was hit and killed by a car this morning on Scalp Ave. in Cambria County. According to Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees, a 43-year-old woman was hit while trying to cross the road near the 1100 block around 9 a.m. Lees hasn’t identified the victim but says she died while being transported to the hospital. Scalp Ave. was closed between Luther Road and Constable Road as emergency crews responded.
