Changes coming for Tipped Workers

In a report by ,WTAJ Pa Dept of Labor and Industry has announced new regulations concerning hourly wages paid to workers who earn tips on their jobs are set to go into effect later this summer. One big change is the amount of tips a worker can receive before his or her employer can reduce their hourly wage. A change that would eliminate an employers deducting from the workers fees for non cash transactions that involve tips., A requirement that service fees not be categorized as tips for workers among others. Gov wolf called once again for a raise in the minimum wage to $12/hour, which would settle the issue according to him. These new regulations are set to take effect august 5th.
