The Altoona Mirror reports that the Tyrone School District, which has taxpayers living in 3 counties is proposing a 4/8% tax increase in its 22-23 budget. The spending plan totals $30.2 million for next school year, which after revenues are calculated to be about $29 million, will leave the district with a $1.1 million deficit. Blair County residents will pay an additional $30.85, based on a $100,000 assessed value of a property a year, while Huntingdon residents will pay an extra $33.18, and Centre residents will fork out an additional $14.66. $27 million of the budget will come from state, federal and local revenues sources. There could be increased funding from the state which would help pare down the projected deficit. The final budget vote is slated for June
