Money Talks is a weekly Real Estate Program, part of WRTA Weekend with Doug Herendeen (Saturdays 11 to Noon). Usually it's cohosted by Dorothy Colony and Cinnamon Colony Chatman. On this edition, Cinnamon gives her take on the Fed's pause in Interest Rate hikes, but the main portion of the show has her Father-In-Law, Bernard Chatman, Sr. as a special guest. He's a retired Pennsylvania Trooper, retired public school teacher, and soon-to-be Reverend. His story is of his family losing the property of Shanty Town, Mountain Union by "taking for the public good" in the 1960's and holding local government accountable.
A dedication of the new park in Mount Union is scheduled for Saturday, July 8th at Noon.
Mr. Chatman becomes Reverend Chatman Sunday, July 9th at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 2121 5th Avenue in Altoona, Sunday, July 9th. The Morning Service is by Pastor Keith Moore at 10:45am; Rev. Chatman's Initial Sermon will be at 1pm. All are invited.
