The Altoona Symphony Orchestra’s Family Summer Celebration will be Saturday, August 24th, 6pm at Canal Basin Park in Hollidaysburg, Under the direction of Maestro Nick Pamer, the Symphony will feature music from Star Wars, Ghostbusters,Chariots of Fire, Tommy, Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody, Scott Joplin’s Maple Leaf Rag, and a Duke Ellington Medley. The Altoona Youth Orchestra will open the event.  Admission is FREE.  It’s sponsored by the Hollidaysburg Area Arts Council, celebrating their 25th anniversary.  Food and beverages for sale by the Hollidaysburg Church of the Brethren. Rain location is the Senior High auditorium
