Apollo Area Historical Society is hosting “A Visit With General Ulysses Grant on Sunday, October 26th from 6:30 to 8:30pm.  It will be in the WCTU Building & Museum, 317 North 2nd Street in Apollo.  Living historian and Gettysburg resident Ken Serfass will portray former Civil War general and U.S. President Ulysses S. Grant.  Serfass portrays Grant on walking tours, horseback rides, railroad excursions and regular events throughout the Northeast.  In 2015, he was invited to join the Federal Generals Corps, a living-history organization hosting first-person impressions of many of the most well-known Union generals.   As a full time professional living historian portraying Grant, his passion for the subject is evident in his presentation, and it is hard not to be affected by his enthusiasm and believe that you’ve met US Grant in living history.
