Local veterans, service members, and their families are invited to attend the upcoming Veterans Stand Down event.  It’s on Friday, September  19th at the Kittanning Township Fire Hall, 13126 US-422 in Kittanning.  Armstrong County Veteran Stand Down event offers essential resources and support, completely free of charge to veterans and active service members.  There will also be healthcare screenings, haircuts plus light refreshments or a small lunch.  The event is open to Veterans only from 10-10:30 am and then General Admittance from 10:30am to 1pm.  For more information. call Matt at 724-471-7220.  Sponsored by Armstrong County Community Action Program, Armstrong County Department of Veteran Affairs, and PA CareerLink of Armstrong County.
