HAVIN, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has received a capacity-building grant from the Staunton Farm Foundation to support the formation of focus groups in the most rural parts of Armstrong County. Members of the focus groups will evaluate the correlation between mental health and domestic violence with the goal of closing service gaps in rural communities.

“To date, we have met with community members from Dayton, Gilpin, Parker, Sugarcreek, South Bend, and Templeton. We gleaned a lot of great information from those conversations, and we are excited to expand our focus groups to residents in more populated areas of Armstrong County.’ -Laurie Johns, HAVIN Executive Director

HAVIN, Inc. will hold two final focus groups in West Kittanning. Residents from any municipality are invited to attend, but must pre-register to receive a gift card.
