Homegrown Rocker December 2025 Schedule
Here’s a listing of what will be happening on the “Homegrown Rocker” during December. Catch the program every Sunday night from 8 to 10 p.m. on Q94 Classic Rock (www.q94classicrock.com), from 10 p.m. to midnight on 107.1 and 101.3 Jack FM (www.1071jack.fm), and via podcast after the show airs on Q94’s website (in “The Professor’s Classroom”).
DECEMBER 7 – Patrick Motto: Bloomsburg-based singer, songwriter and rock creator Patrick Motto has just issued his latest album called “Flood” – Patrick will give us the scoop on the creation of the album as well as his latest happenings, and we’ll hear tracks from the album!
DECEMBER 14 – Dr. Barry Atticks/Lilla Jul Rockeband: Dr. Barry Atticks is director and creator of the Clair Brothers Music Business Technology major at Millersville University and teaches music technology courses; he is also the director of Lilla Jul Rockeband, a Christmas rock band comprised of music students from Millersville. Since 2020, Barry and Lilla Jul Rockeband have annually created Christmas-themed songs and music videos, including Christmas-themed reimaginations of popular classic rock songs and original music, including 2024’s “Jolakotturin (Icelandic Yule Cat),” which was recorded and filmed in Iceland! Dr. Barry will discuss his career and Lilla Jul Rockeband, plus we’ll hear the group’s songs!
DECEMBER 21 – Christmas Special: With Christmas just about here, we present the annual “Homegrown Rocker” Christmas Special! We’ll spotlight holiday songs from area bands and artists, including original Christmas compositions as well as versions of time-tested yuletide favorites! We’ll feature new Christmas season songs from Buffalo Rose, Kenny Murdick, The Austens and more, plus numbers from Jack Frost & the Frost Bites, Small Town Titans, Lords-A-Leaping, Jimmy Mowery, Emily’s Toybox and more!
DECEMBER 28 – 2025 Year in Review Special: As time runs out on this year and we soon enter 2026, we take a look back over 2025 in our annual Year in Review Special! Beginning with January, we will recap each month from the perspective of the area music scene – looking back over area music happenings including noteworthy shows and concerts, band personnel moves, creations and break-ups, plus other happenings on the area music scene. And we’ll hear music from the bands and artists who helped define the area music scene through 2025!
