Channel 6 news reported that Amy Acrurio was given a new 4 year extension of her contract at a special board meeting last night. Acrurio recently came under fire from teachers and parents for the rise in violence inside the district and she was accused of not doing enough to prevent the rise in crime. Acrurio was given a vote of no confidence by the teachers union. Still, after all that, Arcurio got an extension that will keep her in place until at least 2026, and she will get a salary increase.
