Last night was the final broadcast for longtime WJAC TV anchorman Tim Rigby. He announced last week that he was set to retire after 41 years in the television news industry. Rigby started out in the sports dept at channel 6 back in the 1980’s, then shifted over to the news dept. He had left the business once to deal with a cancer diagnosis, and he recovered from that. He returned to the anchor desk after that, and finally said goodbye last evening. Rigby is the brother of state representative Jim Rigby.
