Threshold Of Insanity – “Water and Sand”

As part of the “Homegrown Rocker” mission to celebrate local and regional bands and artists, we like to celebrate the self-made, do-it-yourself musicians who go it alone, and create, perform and record their original music in basements, garages, small studios or wherever it works for them to record. Enter upcoming “Homegrown Rocker” guest Ben Swaner, who will appear via phone on our September 18 program to discuss his musical endeavors and studio project, Threshold Of Insanity. From Lancaster County, Ben started out as a drummer, and after frustrating results in a few initial bands, he decided to learn other instruments, invest in some recording gear, and do it himself, creating and recording his own original, hard-edged, progressive rocking brand of music! He has created some videos that show parts of his creative process as he records his music in his own home spaces – and as a dad, Ben’s young child shows up on camera during a few of the scenes during this song, “Water and Sand!” (Ben didn’t expose the child to any loud volume during the filming, and actually gently rocks the cradle with his foot as he keeps time during the recording.) Hear Ben tell us about his creative musical adventure with Threshold Of Insanity on the September 18 edition of the “Homegrown Rocker!”
