The Altoona Mirror reports that Judge Jackie Bernard has delayed the jury selection in the case of Timothy McClendon. He is charged with a February 2020 attack on another man outside the home of the victim, which caused Altoona senior and junior high schools to lock down for a time. Pre-trial arguments and motions have caused Judge Bernard to postpone the jury selection that was to have begun next Monday. The defense wants to argue self defense, but the D.A. Says that is not acceptable since McClendon is accused of showing up at the victims home and allegedly struck him with a baseball bat and also allegedly fired one round from a gun, which struck the victim in his neck. The case could begin in December.
