Television news reports suggest that Mayor Jim Kenney signed an executive order this week that will ban guns from indoor and outdoor recreation facilities, also at parks, pools and basketball courts. The action is in response to the shooting this week at a city recreation center this week that killed one woman, and after a shooting at Roxborough High School killed a 14 year old student, and wounded 4 others. The order is not the same as city councils efforts to ban handguns or impose tighter gun control regulations.
