A report out of Harrisburg indicates that house speaker Joanna McClinton has scheduled a special election for the may 16th primary to fill the seat left vacant by former rep Lynda Schlegel. She won a special election in January to become a State Senator. The election was scheduled by the speaker but not without controversy. 3 democratic held seats were put up for grabs in February, after republicans tried to get them on the ballot for the May primary, but were rejected. And now, this seat, held by a republican will be contested in the primary. The outcome of the special election will not change the razor thin majority democrats have in Harrisburg. It could go from 1-3 depending on who wins the race.
