The owner immediately took action and fired the employee, but he is now receiving hate calls and backlash from the incident. He told the mirror that he and his family do not condone this action, and that all are welcome in the restaurant. Since the incident went viral, the NAACP say it will look into the matter in the interest of public concern, but asked people not to take personal action. The restaurant manager says that since the incident, he has been called a racist and has received threats against the establishment.
