The Altoona Mirror reported that all charges against Raymond Oechsle will stand and he will face trial for allegedly killing Christopher Helsel back in April. Helsel’s body was discovered inside of Oechsle’s 8th avenue apartment. Police say that Oechsle had lived in his apartment for 4 days with Helsel’s body inside. He is charged with 1st and 3rd degree murder, aggravated assault, burglary, tampering with evidence and abuse of a corpse. The case unraveled when a woman called police to report she found Oechsle inside her apartment, and when they went in to Oechsle’s apartment they found Helsel’s body.
