By a 6-2 vote, the Claysburg School Board approved a preliminary budget last night that includes a tax increase for the 2024-25 school year. The district’s Act 1 limit is 7.7% which means the average homeowner will pay $80 more a year per household. The budget will be available for public viewing and comment for 30 days before it can formally be adopted.
