The Blair County Commissioners will soon be signing an agreement with the state Department of Human Services that will guide the county’s Children, Youth and Families office over the next two years. The Commissioners voted yesterday to sign the negotiated agreement that will restore the operating license for the CYF for six months. While the state has yet to sign the agreement, the commissioners believe the state’s endorsement is expected, based on negotiations between the two sides. Several weeks ago, the state revoked the license for the CYF program, while pledging to continue to work with county officials on operational improvements of the office.
