A 41-year-old Clearfield man has been jailed after allegedly exchanging sexually explicit messages with individuals he believed to be two 15-year-old girls. According to investigators, Ryan Altmeyer engaged in an online relationship with members of the citizen group “814 Pred Hunters,” who were posing as the teenagers. Altmeyer is accused of frequently asking the “teens” for revealing photos, discussing sexual acts, and eventually making plans to meet with at least one of them. Altmeyer has been charged with criminal attempt charges for statutory sexual assault and corruption of minors. He has been placed in the Clearfield County Prison in lieu of $200,000 bail.
