Fire Breaks Out At PSU Chem Building

Alpha Fire Company crews in State College successfully contained a structure fire on the Pennsylvania State University campus, in a chemistry building early yesterday morning.  Firefighters were dispatched to the 300 block of Science Drive following reports of a fire within the Benkovic Building.  Initial assessments suggest the blaze originated on the second floor of the facility.  No injuries were reported.  Cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Centre Region Fire Marshal’s office.
