Pedestrian Taken To Hospital After Being Struck By Vehicle

A 67-year-old man was airlifted to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown with life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Smithfield Township, Huntingdon County, on Friday night.  Pennsylvania State Police reported that the pedestrian was standing in the center of the lane when an 88-year-old driver was unable to avoid him while navigating a curve.  The incident, which occurred just before 10 p.m. on Fairgrounds Road, remains under investigation
