DA: Officer Resigns After Admitting To Putting False Info In Reports

A police officer in Centre County has resigned after authorities say he admitted he added false information to multiple reports.  According to the County District Attorney’s Office, Stephen Kutches told state troopers he would report certain signs of impairment that he didn’t actually see during DUI traffic stops while working for Spring Township Police.  The DA’s Office says there are five pending cases involving Kutches, four of which have already been dismissed.  The Spring Township Police Department says Kutches resigned earlier this month after being placed on administrative leave.
