An Altoona woman was sentenced yesterday to three to 15 years in state prison for a high-speed, drug-fueled crash that left a vehicle engulfed in flames and two people seriously injured.  Twenty-six-year-old Breanna Lord received the sentence after pleading no contest in April to 13 charges stemming from the May 2, 2021, incident.  The charges included felony counts of aggravated assault, and aggravated assault by vehicle while driving under the influence.  According to court records, Lord was driving at a high rate of speed when she slammed her vehicle into a building on the 700 block of 29th Street.  The impact caused the car to burst into flames, resulting in “very serious injuries” to both Lord and her passenger.  In addition to the felony charges, Lord was sentenced on several misdemeanors, including unlawful restraint, recklessly endangering another person, and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.  Six summary traffic violations were also included in the plea.  Lord will serve her sentence in a state correctional facility.
