A 21-year-old State College man is in custody in the Centre County Prison, following an alleged assault on a pregnant woman in her South Pugh Street apartment early Saturday morning. Police report Garrett Choates cornered and struck the victim, causing injuries and property damage, and he now faces charges including felony aggravated assault. His preliminary hearing is slated for May 13th.
