Property owners in the Penn Cambria School District will see a 5% tax increase next school year after the school board approved a new budget to fund major campus upgrades such as 2-million for stadium renovations and slightly less than 2-million for elementary school capital improvements. The board voted 5-2 at yesterday’s meeting to raise taxes to the maximum state-allowed Act I Index for the 2026-27 fiscal year. The board also passed a $34.5 million budget that features an apparent $4.5 million deficit, with revenues projected at just over $30 million.
