The Happy Valley Adventure Bureau Board of Directors has unanimously appointed Eric Engelbarts as its new president and CEO, succeeding Fritz Smith, who resigned after eight years in the role. Engelbarts, who has served as deputy director of the bureau since January and leads the Happy Valley Sports and Entertainment Alliance, takes over as Centre County’s tourism industry surpasses $1 billion in annual visitor spending.
